Glue a row of BP17 PVC plaster screed 6mm strips to the wall, plaster between them and draw the coat off along their faces: the wall comes out flat with a 6 mm coat. Each strip is a Bella Plast BP17 plastering guide in white PVC, 3 m long, and it stays inside the plaster when the job is done. It is made for interior walls, and is the thinner of the two BP17 heights.
How a PVC Plaster Screed Sets the Coat
A plaster screed strip is a fixed depth gauge. Set level and plumb, the strips give the straightedge two rails to slide on, and anything above their height is cut away with the pass. The coat is drawn off flush with the strips, so the height you buy sets the depth of plaster you get.
The 6 mm BP17 suits a wall that is already reasonably true and needs a thin, level skin rather than a deep correction. Bella Plast names two walls where that matters most: system concrete walls and aerated (cellular) concrete walls.

Putting the 6 mm Strips Up
Choose the gap between strips to suit your levelling float or straightedge — Bella Plast ties the spacing to the tool, so the blade always bridges two strips. Fix each strip with spots of adhesive in several places along its length, checking level and plumb while the adhesive is still soft. Plastering starts once those spots have dried. A strip can be cut to length for short runs above doors and under windows, and it is left in the wall after the coat is drawn off.
For the order, count the strips each wall needs at your spacing; on walls up to 3 m high every strip is one piece, with no joint.
