Description
The wet plaster profile W10 is Dombud's 10 mm guide strip: 2.5 m long, bedded in the plaster mortar, giving the float a fixed, straight line where a thicker coat has to finish flat. It is the taller partner of the 6 mm W6 strip, the same profile for a thinner coat, and both belong to the full rendering range.
Where the W10 Is Used
Dombud's page for the W-10 names the first two uses below; its W-6 page adds the last two, which both heights share.
- preparing walls for traditional and machine-applied plasters;
- forming straight edges where walls meet ceilings;
- guiding the coat so it goes on evenly on walls and ceilings, with less sanding afterwards;
- gypsum, cement-lime and other finishing plasters.
The strip is an under-plaster guide, set into the plastering mortar, and it stays inside the finished coat, so its 10 mm height belongs with a coat planned at that thickness or more.

W10 or W6
The two strips differ in one dimension only. Pick the wet plaster profile W10 where the plaster goes on thick enough to cover a 10 mm strip, and the W6 where the coat is thinner.

What the Strip Is Made Of
This is where the sources part company. The listing gives steel, and the photo shared by both heights shows a perforated metal strip. Dombud's page for the W-10 itself describes the material as a durable plastic, while its W-6 page names no material at all, only resistance to corrosion and deformation.
Where the material matters to the job, call Renders World before ordering and ask what is on the shelf. No coating, galvanised or otherwise, is stated on the listing or by Dombud, and Dombud publishes no technical sheet or declaration for the strip.
Corners
The wet plaster profile W10 sets the plane of the coat; an external corner needs its own bead. For corners in wet plaster Renders World stocks an aluminium corner bead for wet plaster.

Dombud lists a 3 m length for the 6 mm W-6. Renders World sells the W10 in 2.5 m lengths.
Can it go on an external wall?
Dombud's pages describe plastering on walls and ceilings and do not address exterior use. Ask the shop before planning it into an outside wall.
How many do I need?
Each strip is 2.5 m long and is sold singly, so a run longer than 2.5 m takes two.
