Description

The WKK hanger is the 200 mm attic anchor hanger for CD60 ceiling profiles. It suspends the supporting CD60 profiles of a suspended ceiling in attics and roof structures, and the plasterboard is then fixed to those profiles. It is part of the Renders World drylining range, next to the CD60 profiles, connectors and other hangers that make up the rest of the ceiling frame.

What the WKK Hanger Does

  • Carries the ceiling frame in a roof space. The hanger holds the supporting CD60 profiles of a suspended plasterboard ceiling in attics and roof structures.
  • Clips onto the profile. The shop drawing shows the hanger upright, its head clipped over the profile running below.
  • A strip with fixing holes. Above the head, the hanger is a flat metal strip, with a row of round holes and longer slots along its length.
  • 200 mm. The size in the product name, for one length of hanger.
  • Hidden once boarded. It sits above the plasterboard and is out of sight when the ceiling is finished.

Which Hanger Goes Where

The drylining range has two kinds of hanger for CD60 profiles. Each hanger does a different job, so the choice comes from the structure the ceiling hangs from. The WKK hanger is the one for roof spaces.

Where It Sits in the Ceiling Frame

A suspended plasterboard ceiling under a roof is built from a small set of parts, all in the same range:

  1. The UD27 wall channel runs round the room where the ceiling will sit.
  2. The WKK hanger holds the supporting CD60 profiles to the roof structure.
  3. The 3 m or 4 m CD60 ceiling profile forms the grid the boards are fixed to.
  4. Lengths of profile are joined end to end with the A100 longitudinal connector; in a two-level grid the layers are tied with the CD60 cross connector.
  5. The plasterboard is screwed to the profiles.
