Description

This is the CD60 3m profile: the main channel of a plasterboard suspended ceiling, cut shorter for smaller rooms. Hallways, box rooms and narrow attic spaces up to 3 m across take one length per run with little to cut off. The same profile comes in a 4 m length for wider rooms, and both sit in the Renders World drylining range.

Where the CD60 3m Length Fits

  • Short spans. Any run up to 3 m from wall to wall is covered by a single length, with no joint.
  • Less waste in small rooms. Across a 2.8 m hallway, a CD60 3m length leaves 0.2 m to trim, where a 4 m one would leave 1.2 m.
  • Attic linings. The profile is used to line attic spaces as well as to build flat suspended ceilings.
  • Same frame, same parts. Wall channel, hangers and connectors are the ones used with the 4 m length.

3 m (this profile) Rooms up to 3 m wall to wall
4 m CD60 main profile Rooms up to 4 m wall to wall

Measure the room across the direction the profiles will run. Up to 3 m, this length does it in one piece. Between 3 m and 4 m, the 4 m length avoids a joint; beyond 4 m, lengths are joined end to end.

Parts That Go With It

A CD60 ceiling is a small kit of parts, all sold in the same range:

  • Wall channel — the UD27 perimeter channel runs round the walls and holds both ends of every profile.
  • Hangers — ES60 hangers (75, 125, 175 and 225) attach the profiles to a ceiling or a wall; the WKK 200 mm hanger suspends them in attics and roof structures. Suspension wires with a hook come in 25, 50, 75 and 100 cm.
  • Connectors — the A100 longitudinal connector joins two lengths in a line; one-side and double-side connectors are stocked; the cross connector joins profiles at right angles in a two-level grid.
  • Screws — Renders World stocks the drywall screws that fix the plasterboard to the profiles.

FAQ

How long is this CD60 profile?

3 m. A CD60 3m length covers a run of up to 3 m from wall to wall without a joint.

Should I buy 3 m or 4 m lengths?

Go by the width of the room. Up to 3 m, take this length; from 3 m to 4 m, the 4 m CD60 avoids joining two pieces.

Can two lengths be joined?

Yes. The A100 longitudinal connector joins two CD60 lengths end to end for a longer run.

What goes round the walls?

A metal wall channel. The ends of the CD60 profiles sit inside it, so the ceiling is held at every wall.

What screws hold the plasterboard?

Drywall screws such as the KSSG 3.5 x 25 mm, also stocked in 35 mm and 45 mm.
