Description
The CD60 longitudinal connector A100 joins two CD60 ceiling profiles end to end, so one run of profile can be longer than a single length. Where a room is wider than the 3 m or 4 m CD60 lengths, the joint is made with this connector and the run carries on in a straight line. It is one of four CD60 connectors in the Renders World drylining range.
What the CD60 Longitudinal Connector Does
- It extends a run. Two lengths of CD60 meet at the CD60 longitudinal connector and continue as one profile across the room.
- Lengthwise, not across. "Wzdłużny", the word in the original shop name, is Polish for lengthwise: the A100 keeps both lengths in the same line.
- Shaped like the profile. A short sleeve of bright sheet metal with the channel shape of the CD60, edges turned in along both sides and small punched tabs in the side walls.
- Part of the ceiling frame. It sits in the same grid as the wall channel, the hangers and the other CD60 connectors, and ends up hidden above the plasterboard.

When a Run Needs a Joint
The CD60 main profile comes in two lengths: the 3 m CD60 profile and the 4 m CD60 profile. A room no wider than 4 m wall to wall takes one length per run and needs no joint. Anything wider, or an attic lined in one long run, needs two lengths and one CD60 longitudinal connector between them.
- Lay the first length with its end in the wall channel and fix it to the hangers.
- Join the next length to its free end with the A100, keeping both lengths in one straight line.
- Fix the joined run to the hangers, with an ES60 hanger or a WKK hanger in an attic, and carry on to the far wall.
Where profiles have to cross rather than continue, the joint is made with one of the other connectors in the table above.

FAQ
What does the A100 connector do?
It joins two CD60 ceiling profiles end to end, so a run can be longer than one 3 m or 4 m length.
What does "wzdłużny" mean?
It is Polish for lengthwise. The connector joins profiles along their length, in one line, not across each other.
When do I need one?
Whenever a run of CD60 is longer than the length you are using: a room wider than 4 m, or a long attic lining.
Can it join two profiles at right angles?
No. For profiles crossing in two levels take the CD60 cross connector; at one level, the one side or double side connector.
Will it show in the finished ceiling?
No. The CD60 longitudinal connector sits in the frame above the plasterboard and is hidden once the ceiling is boarded. Renders World sells it with the profiles and hangers it works with.
