Description
Fixing plasterboard to a straight metal frame starts with something that holds the frame in place. The ES60/175 hanger does that for CD60 profiles, fastening them to a ceiling or to a wall. It sits in the Renders World drylining range with the profiles, channels and connectors the frame is built from.
Where the ES60/175 Hanger Goes
It is used on ceilings, on walls and in attic structures:
- Horizontal elements, such as a ceiling: it carries CD60 profiles for a ceiling lining or a suspended ceiling.
- Vertical elements, such as a wall: it carries the profiles of a wall lining.
- Attic structures, where ES hangers are also used.
Whichever surface it is on, the job of the ES60/175 hanger stays the same: it joins the profile to the structure, and the boards are then screwed to the profile, not to the hanger.
Shape and Fitting
The hanger is a U of bright sheet metal. Its base is flat, with one long slot through the middle. The two legs stand up from the base and carry two rows of round holes each, with notches cut along their edges.
Fitted, that U turns upside down: the base lies against the surface above, held by fixings through it, and the legs hang down on both sides of a CD60 profile, which runs along between them.
