Description
Atlas Delfin is a colourless impregnating agent for cement grout and absorbent tiles: unglazed ceramic, stone and cement tiles. It soaks into the surface and leaves a protective coat that keeps out oil, grease, coffee, tea and water. One 1 kg container treats about 15 to 20 m². It belongs with the tile grouts and silicones at Renders World.
What Atlas Delfin Does
Porous grout and unglazed tiles can take dirt into the material itself. Atlas Delfin penetrates the top layer of the tiles and grout and forms a durable protective coating on top, so everyday dirt stays on the surface and wipes off.
- Stops household stains. Atlas names oils, fats, coffee, tea and water.
- Stays put. Ordinary cleaning products do not wash it out of the tiles.
- Brings colour back. It goes on colourless and, once dry, deepens the colour of the surface. Unglazed tiles get a delicate sheen, and old, dull tiling looks fresh again.
Which Surfaces
- Cement grout — the joints between tiles, once they have hardened.
- Unglazed ceramic tiles — highly absorbent tiles without a glaze.
- Stone and cement tiles — natural stone and cement tiles that take up water.
On newly laid tiling, Atlas advises checking with the tile manufacturer first.
Applying Atlas Delfin
- Wait for the grout. Seal new joints 2 weeks after grouting, when they have hardened.
- Clean and dry. The surface must be dry and free of dust, dirt, oil, grease and wax. Work at 5 to 25 °C.
- Apply neat. Use it straight from the container, never diluted, thickened or mixed. Spread a thin, even coat with a sponge or brush and leave no puddles.
- Second coat on absorbent tiles. After about 30 minutes, apply once more, crosswise to the first.
- Joints only? Use a thin brush and keep it off the tile face along the joint; wipe off at once anything that gets onto it.
- Let it cure. Keep foot traffic off the floor for 24 hours (times for about 20 °C and 50 to 60 % humidity).
Wash tools in clean water straight after use. Dried residue comes off with Atlas Resin Away Szop 2000.
